Today’s #StepIntoGreatness is about creating your roadmap!
Like with any successful journey, we need to have an idea of how to start moving toward the destination, or in this case the dream! In order for us to recognize the path to our dreams, we need to have clear markers along the way.
YOU are the one who gets to decide what those markers are, and how you want to celebrate achieving them.
I wanted to get this out yesterday, but technical difficulties coupled with challenging travel plans have waylaid my best intentions… so here, for your viewing entertainment (and progress along the journey of stepping into your greatness), is this week’s video – on Wednesday.
I’m sure you’ve heard about The Alchemist, by Paulo Cuelho. My young friend Graham is reading the book in English 10. This morning he said how much he is enjoying the book. “It’s all about life and life lessons. It’s about a young man following his destiny”.
I know I’ve had at least 2 copies of the book over the years, but never read more than a few pages. I thought, I’m going to dig that book out. It might be inspirational, and also an opportunity to connect with Graham around something he is interested in. Before digging into boxes of books, I checked my bookshelf, and voila! There it was! “The Alchemist: A Fable about Following Your Dreams”. Thank you!
And I chuckled when the receipt showed that I purchased that copy on Sept. 13, 1999, at Chapters on Robson.
Have a wonderful day everyone!
That is funny. And perfect. Now must be the time. Update us with what you learn!
You’ll love that book, Armando. I’m still blown away by the ending and all it had to offer along the way. 🙂
I am loving your videos and energy Signy. I am having some difficulty dreaming, so don’t have anything to post. I can’t seem to be still long enough to dream or figure out a big goal for myself. Any thoughts on what I need to do to let go of the “stuck” and learn to dream?
Take care
Sorry for my delays on these posts, I was on the road, working up a storm.
Thanks for that feedback Joanne. The first step for you seems to be to make the space for it. And then force yourself to sit still. I know it is hard. Goodness knows I know it is hard. And it really is the first step. Maybe ask those that have known you for a while to tell you what they have seen as the ongoing patterns of what gets you excited, or what lit you up in your youth, etc. There is dream for you. Just let it find you!!
