What makes it so hard for us to be kind to ourselves?
Me. My clients. You. I know we all do it. We run ourselves down for being human. What is that?
And I just know that if we (yes, all of us) could be kinder to ourselves then the world, the whole world, would be a better place.
So this month, my favourite month (yes, yes, it’s because my birthday is at the end of it) I am committing to exploring this concept of kindness, especially kindness to myself/ourselves…
- What is great about it?
- What it gives us?
- What gets in the way of doing it consistently and ongoingly?
- What it creates?
- What is possible through it?
As part of this experiment I am going to track when I see kindness coming my way. Either from myself or from other people. Knowing that what I focus my awareness on expands (both because I see it more clearly, I actually notice it when it is happening, and because it starts to catch fire and creates more of the same, love that!).
I am declaring July KINDNESS month.
