Some of life’s wake up calls have come your way and you’re now standing at a crossroads. Choose Fully Alive and embrace a life of risks? Or continue on the route you’re on?
The choice is yours, but of course I’m biased and really think that you should choose Fully Alive, starting NOW.
Good. Glad you made the right choice. But what to do to really unlock and start living that Fully Alive life?
Here are 3 powerful and immediately applicable steps:
1. Notice where you’re awake, not alive (and make a list!)
First – Look at every facet of your life and notice where you’re awake, but not fully alive. These are on a spectrum, so taking any steps (even little ones!) in the right direction will move you closer to Fully Alive.
For instance:
- Are there areas in your life that you’re not taking a stand for something you believe in?
- Are you revealing your true self?
- Do you always have the courage to take the risk?
Try to think of 20 things for your list; call it your ‘Fully Alive Bucket List’!
2. Play truth or dare with your list
Remember the game truth or dare? We’re going to revitalize it here.
With your list of ‘awake areas’ in front of you, ask yourself “Truth or Dare” for each situation that you’re only awake in. Whichever you choose (truth or dare) you’re going to be taking a risk and pushing yourself to Fully Alive either in words, thoughts or actions.
For example, if you feel that you’re able to take on way more leadership at work, but nobody has recognized that in you yet, choose dare. Then, dare yourself to ask your boss make you the lead on the next project.
The truth option is always about demanding yourself to have honest and frank conversations; daring is about jumping right into it all. Either way, you’re getting into action!
3. Tackle something on your list
There’s no point in making a list if it’s just going to sit there! So pick one of those 20 big, scary, intimidating things from your ‘Fully Alive Bucket List’ and do it. Be it simple or complex, take it on! Set yourself a goal of accomplishing one a week. Do one today!
Use this journal guide to help you sort through this process.
I’ve said it once, and I’ll continue to say it again and again. Everyone can live a Fully Alive life, but you have to choose it, both focusing there and the really living it. You can even have it right now. As long as you are willing to get into ACTION. So what’s it going to be?
Okay over to you:
What are some areas of your life that you are just awake in? Have you written down your ‘Fully Alive Bucket List’? How is tackling this list going for you? I’d love to hear from you! Leave a comment below.
P.S. I’m currently working on designing a new E-Program all about making the most of the precious little time that you have. It’s set to launch in May. Sign-up here if you’d like more information!
